Square Watermelon!!!!

I saw this "thingy" in KLCC. I was shocked to see such watermelon here. Unfortunately, NOT FOR SALE...... Thought I can buy back and taste it....
As far as I know this melons are from JAPAN, melon farmers of the Zentsuji region found a way to grow cubic watermelons. That is to grow the melons in glass boxes and letting them grow naturally assume the shape of the receptacle. The square shape is designed to make the melons easier to stack and store, but the square watermelons are often more than DOUBLE the price of normal ones.

Others than that, pyramid shaped watermelons have also been developed. haha.....
